About Lauren
Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Lauren earned a BFA in musical theatre from The Boston Conservatory before she brought her Midwestern kindness to the Big Apple in 2009, where she tends to give awkward hugs to doormen.
Lauren recently closed the first national tour of Love Never Dies, the sequel to Phantom of the Opera, directed by Simon Phillips. She spent 2015 and 2016 on the road with the first national tour of R+H's Cinderella, where she understudied the fairy godmother and Cinderella's stepmother. In 2014, she starred as Betty Haynes in White Christmas at Jenny Wiley Theatre and as Maria in The New Huntington Theatre's inaugural production, The Sound Of Music. In 2011, Lauren was cast in the national tour of My Fair Lady where she understudied Eliza Doolittle. She reprised that role when the same company went across the world to Singapore.
Lauren has enjoyed working for great regional theatres, such as North Shore Music Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse and the John W. Engeman Theatre. Her first summer in New York, she originated the role of Marjory in the world premiere of Michael O'Flaherty's musical Genesius, The Musical. She has sung the new works of John Andrew Tarbet and Jonathan Matthew Gilbert at The York Theatre and performed in numerous cabarets at The Duplex and 54 Below.
She currently resides in Brooklyn with her boyfriend and their corgi, where she surprises her neighbors with baked goods and happily brings cans of tuna to stray cats on the street.
